Italian Pump Track Championship
1st Italian Youth Pump Track Championship
The history of pump track in Italy is a new one, but this discipline has been appreciated from the start by enthusiasts who have tried, at least once, to abandon themselves to the bumps and parabolics of a purpose-built track.
Around the world, however, this discipline has been known for longer, especially in Australia, where the true origins of this cycling speciality can be traced. It was in the early 2000s that Australian riders began using this new technique in preparation for World Cup downhill races. The growth of this discipline inevitably leads to talk about the establishment, for the first time ever, of an Italian Championship entirely dedicated to Pump Track.
The location chosen for this event could not be other than Il Ciocco, where is set up the largest indoor area in Italy, the Pump Track Dome. A concentrate of technology and innovation, able to enclose in a single structure features essential for the construction of a system of this magnitude: versatility, simplicity, safety and quality.
The system consists of three tracks for a total of 200 metres of pure fun... all to be pushed, of course, without the aid of pedals, but only with the strength of your legs and arms. The pump track is suitable for all ages and can be used both to take your first steps in the world of cycling and to consolidate and refine specific riding skills. In short, a real cycling gym for everyone, which this year will take a new step towards the expansion of this fun sport.
